The Princess and the Frog

Edited by Jane Mouttet

Once upon a time, a beautiful princess named Tiana lived in a faraway kingdom. She was kind and hardworking and dreamed of opening her restaurant one day. But her dreams seemed out of reach as she struggled to make ends meet as a waitress.

One evening, as Tiana was walking home from work, she came across a talking frog sitting by a pond. The frog introduced himself as Prince Naveen. He claimed to be a prince turned into a frog by a wicked witch. He begged Tiana to kiss him to break the curse and turn him back into a prince.

Tiana doubted him at first, but after hearing the prince’s story, she took pity and kissed him. To her surprise, the curse was not lifted. Tiana was turned into a frog instead of the frog turning back into a prince.

Together, they set off on a dangerous journey, determined to find a way to break the curse and return to their human forms. They faced many challenges, from unsafe swamps to tricky enemies. But with each obstacle, their resolve grew stronger, and they found peace in the company of the characters they met along the way, including a trumpet-playing alligator named Louis and a sassy firefly named Ray.

As they got to know each other better, Tiana and Naveen realized they had more in common than they thought. They both shared a love for food, music, and dreaming big. Despite their differences, they found strength in each other and formed a deep bond.

After many adventures and challenges, Tiana and Naveen finally find a way to break the curse and become human again. But by then, they had grown to care for each other deeply and knew they were meant to be together.

In the end, Tiana opened a restaurant with Naveen by her side as her loving husband. They ruled the kingdom as a loved and compassionate royal couple, spreading joy and happiness wherever they went.

And so, the princess and the frog lived happily ever after, proving that true love knows no boundaries and that dreams do come true, even in the most unlikely circumstances.
